Art Show 2/4/23
Titled:
"little illo-strations"
Light explosions, little moments of joy exploding in existence from sheer chemicals drained into spaces of gelatinous matter which we comprehend as thoughts. Our mere reflection held in the eyes of our past, longing relentlessly toward the future knowing we only get this one day, this one moment of truth. So I say take the risk, jump the cliff and smoke the spliff. Our journeys lay ahead taunting us by the feet we tap, waiting for the invitation to be written on our restaurant bill we lay awake sleepless at night knowing the moon is slowly shrinking into a sliver we will not get back again. So enjoy treating yourself well, caring for this precious and most insignificant lifetime. Care for this moment in the art that it is.
This series of watercolor paintings outlined in ink brush are each 6"x6" in size. They each have brought me joy to create and have been part of a healing process I have been on since getting into a motorcycle accident on July 15th, 2021 where I suffered a compound fracture of my right femur and fracture of my right wrist. This series is celebration of my recovery and god's blessings to keep me alive. Please come join me in my celebration and enjoy original artwork and have some light refreshments on a Saturday. And while I know that I am very fortunate to be here and be able to create this artwork, I also understand that there are many others out there that are not as lucky as I am. For those who could really need a hand in a time of need, I am donating a portion of my proceeds to the Children's Home Society of Washington where the funds can impact the children and families living in our community.
